Victory on the cross. It’s all about authority, God’s or Satan’s. Satan stole God’s original authority given to man. We all are familiar with Adam and Eve. When Satan stole Adam’s authority over all God created. Mankind had to exist on the earth without the assistance of God in which we became independent to take care of ourselves. Now God’s counter is to get mankind back in authority over all he created. Jesus’ victory on the cross was that exchange of authority, back to man and the believer. He took everything from Satan. Satan has no authority on the Earth. He has his demons but we have authority over them through Christ. Sin is his way into our lives. only when we engage in sin it is an opening for him to enter our lives. Christ’s victory over Satan is something you personally need to research for yourself. It’s key to recognizing the deception of the world, its system, etc. If you search for the truth of Christ’s victory on the cross, you will begin to see that the fight is not what we assumed.
Our fight is to believe the truth in Christ and also recognize the deception of Satan. The authority Christ took from Satan is how we as believers are to operate—Christ’s authority, not ours. Our authority is nothing to Satan, no threat at all. Jesus’ authority is the only authority Satan will obey. Yes, Obey.
You don’t fight Satan yourself because you are a born sinner until you receive Jesus as Lord of your life. Up until that point, who’s authority do you think you have? Let me answer that. Not Jesus. I want to make this clear if you are not under Christ’s authority how in Hell can you fight Satan?
